The project:
The multi-purpose indoor hall at Falkonergården school in the heart of Frederiksberg, Denmark, is an impressive steel structure, which has elegantly been fitted in between the surrounding buildings. The hall is about 1000 m2 with a height of approximately 10.5 m is made of steel truss sections.
The project has won both the “Arne award” of 2016 (Årets Arne) and the Architecture Award of Frederiksberg (Frederiksberg Arkitekturpris) of 2014-15.
The participants:
The building is designed by Falko Arkitekter with MOE. The steel structure was supplied by Give Stålspær with Krabbenhøft & Ingolfsson as consulting engineers.
Our role:
Krabbenhøft & Ingolfsson carried out the detail design of the entire steel structure for the multi-purpose hall.
Time frame:
The hall was inaugurated in the fall of 2014.
