Fynsværket is a coal, straw and municipal waste-fired power plant in Odense, Denmark originally operated by the Swedish Vattenfall. As of the 1st of January 2015, the plant is now owned by the Danish company Fjernvarme Fyn.
The plant is consistent of eight units, three of which are new: Unit 3, 7 and 8. Unit 7 has become a landmark in Odense with a 235 meter chimney, which is the second tallest in Denmark.
Krabbenhøft & Ingolfsson were responsible for the steel design, main steel components and connections.
Fynsværket it self is existed since the 1950’s, however the newer units were operational from 2009-2010.
