There has been a lot going on with the SiteCover projects in 2017. We have worked on several fascinating projects, including the new Bispebjerg Hospital expansion, where the largest SiteCover structure to date was constructed. In Nørredybet in the northern part of Denmark, another SiteCover was needed. Bladt Industries were in need of a construction cover for their steel construction site. This Sitecover structure was made of 4 x 4 basic modules. The span of the construction was 57.6 m x 57.6 m with no internal columns. The total height was constructed to contain two 12-tonne cranes. This made the height at 29 meters. All in all, the same type of SiteCover as our previous project at Bispebjerg, with fewer modules this time.
The cover was requested by Bladt Industries. Krabbenhøft & Ingolfsson worked in close collaboration with SiteCover to design the steel structure.
Our role in the project, was to design and verify all the steel structural elements and connections.
Finished in the middle of December 2017, the steel structure was installed in construction project it set to last for one year. This means that the construction will be taken down by the end of 2018.
